I did it!
I am finally done with school! There was a bit of doubt for a little while with an awful anthropology class. I won't share the grade, all you need to know is that I passed! I never could have done this without the support (loving pressure to go back) of my family. I have put Ron through so many nights of him being in charge of dinner and cleaning while I was in class or locked in the room doing homework. He is probably more excited I am done than I am!
As everyone has been asking me what's next, I wonder the same thing myself. Maybe a family, maybe more school (yeah right). At the top of the list is making my house livable and losing the weight I gained from going back to school. Working full time and taking classes full time sure has taken its toll on my body-maybe more than anything else! I have seen the success of running in my awesome-est sister in law, and am inspired to start doing it myself. I am starting small, but building up for a half-marathon in September. I have also been asked to attempt a sprint triathlon with my aunt and another half marathon in Moab with her in December. I am going to need a lot of support, so start cheering me on now!

The end of the world must be coming...
...because I am updating my blog! I really just never know what to say. Who wants to read about our uneventful lives. I am almost 100% certain that no one reads it anyway, which means I could probably say anything I want and get away with it...but for anyone that might be reading, I won't!
I changed the background, which I am sure Ron is going to hate, but I wanted something more "Springy." I also added some new songs to our play list, making it a pretty eclectic mix of music. I hope you enjoy it...music means a lot to both of us.
So, I have started to take a stab at the art of cake decorating (maybe I will get way high-tech and post a slide show). Until today, I thought I had the baking and taste portion of my cakes down to an art form...but I tried a new recipe for some cupcakes and had a mini disaster. Do you ever notice that you only have food disasters when you are making the food for someone besides your family (work, for example)? I attempted to make a triple-strawberry batch of cupcakes. The first set I put in the oven sank in the middle-like, really bad! I "googled" what may have caused it, but nothing fit my situation. I added some extra flour, which kind of worked. I just called the whole batch an aesthetic loss (they still taste fantastical), and piped some frosting on them. Needless to say, I won't be using that recipe again!

One Semester Left!!!
As the Winter semester comes to an end, I am coming to the realization that I only have one semester left of school and I will FINALLY have my bachelor's degree. It has only taken me 10 years from the time I graduated from high school, but I have done it. Now here's the question...what should I do with it??
Things are starting to settle down a little bit. I get a couple weeks off from school. We almost have a functioning living room. Ron started laying flooring over his long Thanksgiving weekend (pictures to come), and it is about half way done. There is enough floor down that I will be able to put up a Christmas tree, which means I get to go buy one this weekend! I will also be digging the rest of the decorations from the storage closet. Only being married a little over a year, I don't have many yet, but I am making the most of what we do have. For the first time ever, I will have lights on the outside of my own house. I am actually a little excited about it!
In other news, I have been reading the book Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser and I believe it may have cured me of my addiction. If anyone else out there suffers from fast food-itis, I will be more than happy to let you borrow it when I am done.
Ron has started his own little blog with some friends. They will be posting movie reviews of both new and older movies. We see a lot of them, so check it out. You might see something you find interesting. I have a link over on the side, but it is http://mooveenerds.blogspot.com/. Now you can add it to your favorites and stay up to date with movies to see and movies to stay away from!

Finally
I have heard that some people want a little bit more than listening to our music when they visit our empty blog! It has been a bit of a struggle deciding how to start this off. After all, who wants to read about the lives of a semi-newlywed couple? We don't have a lot of excitement right now, but we will do out best to keep this thing as entertaining as possible.
I thought I would start off with a little slide show of the progress we have made on our little house. When we bought it, we knew we would have to put in a bit of elbow grease to get it looking nice. When you throw working and going to school full time into the mix, along with Ron's unexpected job loss, it has taken a little bit longer to get things going than we thought!
Fall break is coming up, and I decided to take the entire week off work as well. I am going to get at least one of the bathrooms finished in that time...we will see how that works out!
